Kawsay Ayahuasca Retreat was established in 2008 and has been serving for healing with plant medicine since then. The center is based in Peru and is surrounded by scenic nature and wildlife of Amazonian Peru. They offer Ayahuasca and San Pedro ceremonies and work with highly experienced shamans to facilitate these insightful experiences. The retreats have three options; seven, eight, or fifteen days. The first one only includes Ayahuasca plant medicine; the others are Ayahuasca combined with the San Pedro cactus experience. This retreat center also offers an after-care program that helps people to integrate their experiences and continue their healing processes.
The staff consists of healers, shamans, after-care specialists, and directors. They are all highly knowledgeable about Shipibibo and Mestizo traditions and aim to continue the tradition around Ayahuasca and other plant medicines through the ceremonies. The ceremonies are often led by Don Romulo Trunco Ayahuascero and Don Minister Maestro Ayahuascero.
The accommodations are lodges that all have a beautiful view of the Peruvian Amazonian jungle. They follow strict Ayahuasca dietary guidelines, which forbid many foods and activities before the ceremony. The meal includes vegetables, rice, oatmeal, grains, beans, chicken, fish, eggs, and nuts.
